Dayahang Rai is one of talented and popular actor of Nepal .Best known for his role in Kabbadi Kabbadi , Loot and Sambodhan , Dayahang Rai  is leading new directions to Nepalese film Indusry .

Dayahang Rai was born in April 13, 1980 in Khawa ,Bhojpur district , Nepal .He belonged to middle class family .His father had two wives .Dayahang has two younger sister and one elder brother. He completed his schooling from Pashupati Lower Secondary School in his hometown Khawa and finished his high school from Annapurna Secondary School, Dilpa ., Koshi zone .He completed his intermediate level with major in Geography from Bhojpur Multiple College.

At age of 21 , Dayahang came Kathamandu to pursue higher studies.He studied journalism in Nepal Maanawiki Campus .He wasnot good at studies but he was far more focused and intrested in doing plays .He scoured the Art Council and the Academy Hall, watching plays. Once, he watched a total of 20-22 plays in  National Theatre Festival at the Academy Hall  He wanted so bad to learn acting and direction but couldn’t meet and speak to the directors.

One day, he got to know about a workshop at Nach ghar,conducted by Anup Baral. Dayahang  managed to get a small role that  made  him realize  his passion for acting. . Eventually, he involved himself in theater plays .

He got to act in a dummy tele serial called “Mokshya” with actors like Sudarshan Thapa and Kriti Bhattarai.  He also  worked with Bijay Bisfot and other actors in many stage plays for just established Gurukul. He has  also acted with Navin Subba in the famous serial Dalan.

He debuted to filmline through  movie Anagarika . The movie was  Gurung community  charitable film .Eventually, he acted in Hamro Team (serial), Loot, Highway, Chadke and Badhshala, which have all been released to critical acclaim. His forthcoming movies are Karkash and Jholey. “He was a regular fixture in the audience of street plays and viewed them with a critic’s eye. He even had an interest in the fine arts and sketched while in school.

In 2007, he did a three-month course at Actors Studio and worked in various plays. He directed a play Mahiladotcom, which led to a movie Mero Euta Sathi Cha and then, the critically acclaimed Dasdhunga.

Dayahang Rai is married to Benuka Rai .Benuka Rai is a singer .They had met in Raatoghar and thats how their 7 years love relationship started .They both married in 2006 i.e 2035 BS. They have a son named Samduhang Rai.

Dayahang Rai is rumored to have something fishy with actress Priyanka Karki but the news isnot aunthetic to be further discussed on .
